Carol Endicott started this petition to Amazon.com

Amazon is a major seller of rat poisons containing BROMETHALIN. This potent neurotoxin kills not only mice and rats, but also dogs, cats, and wildlife. Lobbied by veterinarians and informed by science, the EPA banned bromethalin in 2017, but retailers can still sell the product that remains. Amazon sells many bromethalin-based products with no mention of the ban or its dangers.

An animal poisoned with bromethalin experiences agonizingsuffering. The have uncontrollable seizures and extreme swelling of the brain. Veterinarians are helpless, as there is no antidote. Pets need consume only a small amount to die horribly.

Bromethalin is sold under the trade names TomKat, Top Gun, T1 Rat, Fast Track Block, and several others.

Zeke was a supremely athletic French Brittany, whose ability to escape a repeatedly fortified fence would have done Houdini proud. His final escape lasted 10 minutes before he was retrieved, but in that time, he ate bromethalin a neighbor had recklessly and illegally left in the alley. His death was devastating to his owner who loved him, and the veterinarian who helplessly watched him seize and die. This product was banned for good reason. Keep this deadly poison out of our communities for the safety of dogs, cats, wildlife, and children!
