In late 2021, I arrived home to see my beloved 7-year-old turtle, Squirt, drowned in his tank due to the Penn Plax product, Reptology Life Science Floating Turtle Pier Basking Platform. 

Since then, I have reached out to all businesses (Amazon, Walmart, Chewy, Petco, Petsmart, etc.) that sell this product begging them to reconsider selling it to due to the multitude of negative consumer reviews.

This was Penn Plax's response to my request to add a warning label:

"...We are also studying the product design however I cannot provide specifics of our development process.  At this time the topic of the Floating Turtle Pier is now closed and cannot share anymore information with you..."

This is not enough.  It will never be enough.

My goal in starting this petition is to save lives - they make enough money on other products to take the Penn Plax Reptology Life Science Floating Turtle Pier Basking Platform off of their shelves. 

A difference can only be made when individuals like you and I take a stand and tell them they have to make a change. 

I ask you to sign this petition—if not for me, then for Squirt. And for all the turtles we may have the opportunity to save.
