Ask billionaires to save the Amazon from burning

Ask billionaires to save the Amazon from burning
The Issue
When Notre Dame was burning, billionaires from around the world donated MILLIONS to the structure's restoration.
Brazil's Amazon Rainforest has been on fire for over two weeks and we've not seen the same response.
ASK SOME OF THE RICHEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD TO DONATE TO A MORE IMPORTANT CAUSE: THE PROTECTION OF THE AMAZON RAINFOREST.
Sign the petition to tell some of the wealthiest people on the planet to donate millions to organizations like Amazon Watch, the Rainforest Action Network, Survival International, the World Wildlife Fund, the Rainforest Alliance, the Rainforest Trust, and other groups working on the front lines to protect our planets "lungs."
Why does this cause deserve their contributions?
- The Amazon is often referred to as the planet's lungs, producing 20% of the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere
- It is considered vital in slowing global warming
- More than half of the world's estimated 10 million species of plants, animals and insects live in the tropical rainforests
- At least 80% of the developed world's diet originated in the tropical rainforest
- Currently, 121 prescription drugs currently sold worldwide come from plant-derived sources
- The Amazon is the ancestral home of 1 million indigenous people. They are divided into about 400 tribes, each with its own language, culture and territory
