As a victim of the heinous form of torture known as child molestation, I suffered years of paranoia knowing that my "boogeyman" was walking around in the same small state as me upon his release from his pathetic 8 year sentence. 15 years later, MY children are walking around with me in the same state as this monster. Because he was a level 1 Offender, he was deemed "not bad enough" to be registered as a sex offender PUBLICLY in the state. This is unacceptable..There are offenders who are level 2 and 3 and have done less damage to a victim and we receive community notifications. My offender was a monster and I can never take back what was damaged as a child, but as a parent and an adult, these sick individuals need to be flaunted as they are, to make the public aware and prevent lifetime traumas such as the one I have survived.
