Students, parents, and teachers alike have expressed great concern over the girl’s level of comfort as fall’s cold climate continues. Currently, Notre Dame girls are struggling to maintain warmth during the chilly fall season. In addition, due to ongoing Covid circumstances, open windows and air purifiers are required in classrooms. However, last spring, students were allowed to wear sweatpants and even Comfy’s. In the present situation, our only layering options are leggings, which offer minimal warmth due to the thin fabric, or lightweight dress pants that cost at least another $50 and arrive months later than needed. Wearing skirts in temperatures as low as 43 degrees creates a distracting learning environment, unlike sweatpants that would keep us warm and more productive. 

Why does Notre Dame sell sweatpants if we are not permitted to wear them in cold conditions?
