The problem we have here people is this… I think I speak for every parent when I say this , I don’t know what’s going on in the ranks of the P-Nut league but I’m appalled to see the way they are treating our kids, Aka The future Union Bears by simply ignoring all requests from coaches and parents when they are asked about allowing us to finish our 6 game schedule out, as the schedule and the Union P-Nut football organization suggested and lead on with when Parents signed up their kids to play ball. For those who dont know . Union P-Nut crunch bunch football league has been practicing well over a month in stormy, hot, and rainy weather just to have their season swept under the rug and canceled all because, They don’t want our future bears to mess up the football field at Bullit park in Big Stone Gap Va. These kids workd hard this summer, everyone of these kids, parents and coaches came back early from summer break to start football practice thinking they were  gonna play more then 1 game. Had they told the parents and coaches before sign ups or maybe even during sign ups there would only be one game a whole lot of this right here wouldn’t be going on. When did Big Stone Gap become so obsessed with their image that they are not just willing but are actually canceling 5 of the 6 games for crunch bunch to preserve the field for these festivals. Im all for preservation and get togethers but not at the expense of the kids. These kids deserve better and as parents we demand better for our kids.  If that truly was the case of them trying to preserve the field then why allow 1,000’s in foot traffic that the beer garden brings on 4th of July, or the beer garden foot traffic during this years bluegrass festival that’s coming up in October? I’ll tell you why , it’s because money is more important to the town, if it wasn’t more important these so called adults in these meaningless positions would take a stand and not try to stick it to a bunch of 7-9 year olds. Haven’t our kids missed out on enough? They are in it for one thing, your hard earned money. This is a petition to demand the P-Nut Football league and or the town of Big Stone Gap Va to allow union crunch bunch to play all 6 games (4 quarters each game) not just the 20 min practices before peanut games they have been trying to call a game. If these games remain canceled I believe I speak for all parents when i say Every parent Demands a refund for paying for a fraud of a season. When we are more worried about a field of grass (not that impressive by the way) then what our kids are passionate about (football) then I feel the wrong people are in charge. If there are no refunds issued and the 6 games are not scheduled for union crunch bunch teams then I encourage all parents to get with me and we will schedule all games that have been canceled by the league and have them at Bullit Park. I’ve already looked into it and we don’t need permission.  We the parents have the rights and power to change the way they are doing our kids. Help me make a change now. Sign this petition to demand a refund or to demand our kids get to play the 6 games that were originally scheduled before this whole field debacle got started. At this point I don’t think we are asking too much out of the town and union peanut football leaders.

I’m also getting overwhelming support and a ton of request to have Roger Mullins Step down from being commissioner over the Union Peanut Football League and have someone that’s more capable to be in that position take over.
