I am a avid user of Crunchyroll on the PlayStation 4, and I strongly believe that there needs to be an option for users like me to choose between using the old or new version of PlayStation 4 Crunchyroll. The recent updates have changed the user experience significantly, and not all changes have been welcomed by its loyal user base.

The recent update has brought about changes that are not user-friendly and have disrupted many users' experiences. According to a survey conducted by Anime News Network in 2020, over 60% of their readers use streaming platforms like Crunchyroll on gaming consoles such as PlayStation 4 (Anime News Network). This represents a significant portion of users who could potentially be affected by these changes. It's clear that this platform holds a significant place in our hearts and our daily lives. However, since the update, numerous users have expressed their dissatisfaction with these changes on various online forums.

The previous version (update version 1.34) offered features and an interface that many users found more intuitive and enjoyable compared to the updated version, and allowed for easier navigation through our favorite anime series. This petition is not about resisting change but about preserving choice - giving users the ability to decide which version they prefer. The new update has removed the old interface and some features we loved while adding others that complicate our viewing experience rather than enhancing it.

We understand that updates are necessary for improvement but believe it is crucial to consider all types of users when implementing these changes and believe that it should not come at the cost of alienating loyal users. By reinstating access to the old version alongside offering their new one, Crunchyroll would demonstrate respect for its dedicated PlayStation 4 fanbase's preferences while still moving forward with its innovation plans. 

We urge you, as developers at Crunchyroll and Sony Interactive Entertainment executives responsible for app availability on PlayStation consoles, to hear our plea. Please reinstate our ability to choose which version we want - let us decide what works best for us individually.
