Allow Tesco workers to vote on their pay

Allow Tesco workers to vote on their pay
The Issue
As a union representative and a dedicated Tesco colleague, I've seen firsthand the dedication, hard work, and sacrifices my fellow workers make to ensure that we meet the high standards expected by our customers every day. Working for one of the leading supermarkets in the UK, we have set the benchmark for quality and service. Yet, when it comes to determining our pay, we lack a voice in the process.
This is why I am urging USDAW and Tesco to recognise the importance of allowing workers to have a say on their pay through our union. Our hard work and loyalty deserve fair compensation, and by including us in the negotiation process, Tesco can show that it values its employees.
Currently, workers' pay discussions happen without a direct vote or input from the employees who dedicate their time and effort. According to the Office for National Statistics, wages have stagnated for many working in retail, while the cost of living continues to rise. Allowing us to vote on our pay through USDAW would not just be a step towards fair wages, it would foster a deeper sense of trust and transparency between Tesco and its employees.
By empowering us with a voice in our pay, Tesco can align itself with ethical practices and pave the way for the betterment of its workforce.
Please sign this petition to advocate for a fair voting process on our pay with USDAW, ensuring our voices are heard and valued. Your support can and will make a difference.
