For years, my routine has been simple — grab a milk bag from the lunch line and head out. It was a system many students like me relied on, especially when we weren’t buying a full school lunch. Most of my peers were fine with it because it made sense: why wait in a long line when all you're grabbing is a quick milk? Unfortunately, recently, (Redacted) stopped me from doing just that, despite no objections from others. It’s become an unnecessary hurdle.

Around schools across the nation, students rely on efficient lunch lines to ensure they have their meals with minimal disruption to their schedules, particularly for those with extracurricular commitments or limited lunch periods. By allowing students who are only getting milk to move ahead, we create a win-win situation: those grabbing full lunches experience no delay, and students like myself can adhere to our busy schedules.

There are numerous schools with simple, effective queuing systems in place. We can adopt similar methods to streamline our lunch line, making the best use of time and resources without disrupting daily operations.
