Subject: Request for Exam Retake Opportunity
Dear Dean Martinez,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a dedicated student at CBD College, I am writing to express my concern regarding the current exam policy. I believe that students who have put in significant effort and hard work should be given a fair chance to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Background: Recently, I had the opportunity to take the mock exam for CST PREP. While I appreciate the value of mock exams as a learning tool, I found that there were only a few areas where many students needed to improve. Retaking the entire class seems inefficient and unnecessary for addressing these specific gaps.
Request: I kindly request that the school administration consider the following options:
1 Mock Exam Retake: Allow students who have worked hard to retake the Mock exam. This would provide a fair chance to showcase our understanding of the material without penalizing us for minor areas of weakness.  provide students with the opportunity to retake the mock exam. Focusing on the specific topics that need improvement would be a more effective way to enhance our learning.

2 allow the students a choice of using the average of 3 mock exams taken during the course or use just the final exam.  This allows students who have worked hard all semester a chance instead of punishing them for having a single poor test day.

3 Take the actual exam: Alternatively, allow students who have worked hard to take the real exam. If a student does not pass, they can return to retake the course. This approach aligns with the state’s requirement of allowing up to four exam attempts per year. This will also give students a better understanding of the actual exam. Similar to having clinical.

Benefits:
 • Encourages a growth mindset by emphasizing improvement over repetition.
 • Recognizes the efforts of diligent students who have invested time and energy.
 • Promotes efficiency in teaching and learning.
Conclusion: I believe that implementing either of these options would be a positive step toward creating a supportive and fair academic environment. As students, we value the opportunity to learn and grow, and we hope that our hard work will be acknowledged.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a favorable response.

Sincerely,
