Allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to compete as neutral athletes at Wimbledon

Allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to compete as neutral athletes at Wimbledon
The Issue
On the 20th April 2022 the All England Club decided that they would not allow Russian or Belarusian athletes to compete at this years Wimbledon Championships regardless of their stance on the Russian regime.
High profile Russian tennis players including world number 8 Andrey Rublev and world number 15 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova have been some of the most vocal people in speaking against the war in Ukraine, at huge risk to their families back home. They have done nothing wrong and cannot change where they were born, most of them left Russia years ago.
It is a great shame that so many of the worlds top players will be prevented from taking part in one of the finest sporting events in this country, simply because of where they were born. This is discrimination. Ban them from playing under their nations flag, sanction the Russian government but let these young adults compete in the tournament they’ve always dreamed of playing.
