Grieving families should be allowed to place roadside memorials. Families setting up memorials not only gain a sense of closure but also will have something beautiful to maintain in rememberence of their loved one. It serves as something meaningful made by those impacted by a loss. Safe placement of these memorials on the side of the road should be allowed and supported.

My own family has been recently (May 22, 2022) impacted by the death of a sister - Haley Jade Doyle, 22 years old - due to a car crash. We were notified that the memorial we made in rememberence of her was to be moved onto someone's private property, otherwise it would be removed. The legislature disregards the impact her death had on her family, friends, and community, and how healing the memorial has been (and will continue to be) to all who knew her.
