West Northants council has introduced a new PSPO which indirectly affects professional dog walkers and people with groups of dogs larger than four. The new PSPO prevents these groups from walking more than four dogs at once. 
As a group we all feel as though the consultation process was remiss to not actively seek out groups it would effect detrimentally and assess the financial, social and practical impact that this might have on them.

For professional dog walkers with insurance who have previously been able to walk up to 6 this will greatly impact how much work they can do. It will effect them financially which is particular worry in a cost of living crisis. 

For professional breeders/show dogs /owners this means that they cannot walk or train their dogs together in a public place. The PSPO covers the whole of West Northants and could be rolled out to the whole county of Northamptonshire next year. 

Please sign our petition in support of West Northants Council quashing this PSPO, re-consulting with a wider reach and better public information campaign, creating a variation in the PSPO to accommodate professional dog handlers or offering licenses so that these groups can continue their businesses/pastimes as normal.
