This petition is initiated by a group of Paramotor pilots, supported by both pilots and non-pilots who appreciate the unique experience of paragliding sightseeing from Miami Beaches. We are seeking to amend the current rules and regulations governing certain parks within Miami-Dade County, specifically Haulover Park, Crandom Park, and Virginia Beach Park. Our proposal involves designated areas within these parks that are typically less populated, thereby minimizing potential disturbances or safety concerns for other park-goers.

Paramotoring offers a low-impact way to enjoy our beautiful landscapes while contributing positively to local tourism. 

We propose implementing a yearly permit system with the county similar to the permit used in Palm Beach County. Such permits have proven effective elsewhere in balancing recreational use with environmental stewardship and public safety. There has been zero incidents in the 10 years this program has been in effect in Palm Beach County.

Similar to the permit in Palm Beach county, each pilot will have its own Liability insurance and endorse it to Miami-Dade County Parks. 

All pilots will adhere to FAA guidelines and regulations during flight.
