HMS 8th graders have shown exceptional dedication and commitment by participating in the Penny War for Animal Ark, a commendable initiative aimed at supporting a non-profit animal shelter. Recognising their efforts, we propose a rewarding incentive: allowing the 8th-grade students to use their phones during lunch if they secure first place in the Penny War.

Animal Ark provides critical support to animals in need, working tirelessly to ensure they receive the care and shelter they deserve. The Penny War is not only a fun and engaging way to raise funds but also instills important values of empathy, community involvement, and responsibility in our students. Encouraging their participation through meaningful rewards will bolster their motivation and highlight the importance of charitable actions.

Alternatively, if the staff ends up in last place in terms of contributions, we suggest extending this privilege to all students as a gesture of appreciation for their continued support and enthusiasm. However, this comes with the condition that phones must be kept in student lockers after lunch, ensuring attention and participation in the classroom is not compromised.
