Over time it has became clear that people who have been placed into temporary/ emergency accommodation by their local council have been refused to have pets with them this petition is is to allow pets to be in temporary accommodation it is all ready hard enough that children are being taken out of their normal comfort zone or people with emotional and physical disabilities a lot of people rely on a pet for support and also to a child it is a member of the family and an addition support network for them it almost makes a child feel safer and more comfortable however with pets not being allowed into temporary accommodation it takes away that support wether it be emotional by seeing your pet or even just having a cuddle with them to make you feel better this take a big toll on the mental well-being of children and adults who have had the particular pet for a while and has become part of their family. We understand that some people do not look after pets properly so they become poorly house trained witch is why we believe that pets should be allowed in temporary accommodation with inspections taken place to make sure that the Tennant is looking after the property and if not then they should be fined but people should not be penalised or made to give up their close pet wich is their mental support I am asking for every ones help with this petition
