Allow Lauren Jenkins to be acknowledged during what would have been her HS graduation.

Lauren was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and an A student. Lauren was full of laughter and life and a glow simply radiated from her smile everywhere she went. She loved her family and friends to no end and she was excited finally be able to graduate high school this year. Tragically, Lauren would never walk across that stage at Leesville High School to receive her diploma.
Lauren Maria Jenkins was tragically killed as a result of injuries sustained from a car accident on March 17, 2017. Merely 3 months before her high school graduation.
The administration of Leesville High School in Raleigh NC, was in favor of allowing Lauren to be honored with her graduation diploma. The Wake County Public School board would not allow them to honor that as it was against school policy since she was deceased, but that they would be delivering Lauren's cap and gown to the family. Lauren has attended Leesville schools since her 1st day of kindergarten.
There is another story in current news, here in Wake County, where another high school senior was killed last fall. The school she was projected to graduate from, will be honoring her during graduation with a moment of silence.
Lauren deserves the same recognition.
Please sign the petition and let this beautiful girl be honored at her graduation as well. Not only does she deserve it for all the hard work she put into making herself a stellar student, but it is simply the right thing to do.
Thank you in advance for signing.
