Allow JEE Advance Third Attempt from 2025 for 12th and Double Droppers

The Issue

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a crucial determinant in shaping the future of countless students across the country. It has become clear that many aspirants, particularly those who have dropped a year or two for its preparation, are asking for an increased number of attempts for JEE Advance, starting from 2025. At present, students are allowed to attempt the JEE Advance exam twice consecutively after passing their 12th examinations. This often places immense pressure on students, and does not necessarily assess their potential accurately.

Allowing a third attempt at the JEE Advance would undoubtedly offer these students an additional chance to showcase their talent and ability, and possibly improve their future prospects. It could bring a significant change for those 12th and double droppers who need quality time to prepare and better their understanding of the subjects. The talent of our youth should not be determined solely by their age, but by their ability and preparedness to contribute to technological and scientific advancements in our nation.

It has been agreed that the National Testing Agency’s announcement on 5th November regarding the number of attempts might not be sufficient, considering the immense competition and vast syllabus of JEE Advance. Therefore, we urge the concerned authorities to rethink this decision and provide students an increase in the number of attempts at JEE Advance from 2025 onwards. Sign this petition to support a brighter future for our aspirants by providing them with an additional chance at success.
