While we absolutely support someone’s personal decision and right to choose to wear masks for themselves or family, It is not the right of the government or any school system to force that decision on parents. It is crucial to a free society that we have medical autonomy over our children’s bodies. It is our job as citizens to look at all the data and facts, look at the risks, look at the benefits, and then decide FOR OURSELVES what the best choice for our family would be. What is best for me is it necessarily going to be best for others. We all have different health situations, belief systems, religious beliefs, and medical needs. To take away the rights of other parents simply because you feel differently is not only immoral but it’s reprehensible. Parents choice does nothing to take away the right of any parents who chooses to mask their children,  it simply gives parents who feel differently the ability to do what they think is in the best interest of THEIR individual children. Parents and they alone should have the authority and final say when it comes to what medical devices, prophylactics, and medicines their children utilize.
