I've just had to surrender my dog to Blue Cross because her puppies got stuck and she needed a C-section, which I couldn't afford. They would only help if I gave my dog up. None of the vets in my area would help and my pudding would of died had I not signed her over. This heartbreaking situation could have been avoided if there were options for emergency pet surgery without upfront payment and flexible payment plans.

Many pet owners face similar dilemmas, where they must choose between their beloved pets' lives and financial constraints. 

We urge veterinary clinics and animal hospitals to implement policies that allow emergency surgeries without requiring immediate full payment. Offering payment plans can ensure pets receive necessary medical care while staying with their loving families.
