The USTravelDocs website which manages USA visas in a number of countries inclding India seems to be running either unprofessional practices behind the scene OR if they're genuine on the issues below, there is a clear need to change their current process of supporting non-immigrant visa?

Specifically, getting USA visa in India these days is so difficult as for the most of the times you don't get an appointment at all. You need to be part of a social group on whats app, telegram etc consisting of 100k+ people and get lucky OR pay ~10k+ INR (USD $250) money to agents who somehow manage to get it for you.

Although this petition is at least requesting #1 from the list below, the USCIS/consulate can certainly do much better by addressing other issues as well.

1. There are certain H1b and H4 applicants who are eligible for a drop box appointment. However, even they have to make an appointment just to give their documents. Why can't we just mail them instead?
2. Why do we need to select one of the 5 consulate locations only to make an appointment where they do have staff to collect the documents in near by cities. For example, for Mumbai, you could drop your documentss in Pune and Ahmedabad both, however, to make an appointment for either of Pune, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, you need to open a Mumbai calendar. It doesn't make sense. At least they should have 3X slots to collect the documents if not less.
3. Why do we need to pay visa fee to view the availability calendar? For the other parts of the world where usvisa-info.com manages US visas, applicants don't need to pay any fees to see the earliest available appointment (not full calendar thoguh). Why can't we have that for USTravelDocs  as well? How do USTravelDocs get appointment slots in first place? Why can't they open the full calendar for upto next year or so rather than opening slots randomly (or may be on a specific schedule?). This is kind of a reason there are social media groups created and agents popped up who charge money just to get you an appointment.
4. Last but not the least, how come these so called visa agents get the appointments so easily and regular users don't?

I hope this petition gets enough traction and our voices and pain points are heard in the right ears to make some impactful changes.
