The Office Managers & I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy & safe 2026! Thank you sincerely for your support throughout the year – a year that saw Kingston Council end 30 years of hard work and Community Education Classes for our at the Carrum Community Hall.
The support from clients, vets, educational facilities, animal behaviour professionals across Australia and locals has been magnificent, but not enough to encourage Kingston Council to allow us to continue educating pet owners to keep them safe & together! The Petition is still running & with over 3,000 signatures, is a strong indication of the support there is for a professional dog behaviour service. Thank you!
I will continue to do my best to provide education to new puppy parents, however without an appropriate venue to safely deliver classes for older puppies, I am afraid I cannot offer the classes you are all asking for – classes to train dogs as support & therapy dogs and ongoing training for adolescent dogs with behaviour change. Please keep putting requests through to Kingston Councillors and keep signing and sharing the Petition. The Community Hall has sat empty Saturday morning since our hire was terminated & considering the community benefit we provided, it's sad the venue cannot be used as it's the only suitable venue in the area.
It’s been a very difficult year for me personally, but I’m hopeful that the new year provide opportunities for me to continue to deliver a professional animal behaviour service to those wanting an alternative to the “obedience” club or an amateur service. Please keep pushing for more education & training of dogs in our society, particularly when we see dogs working in so many workplaces, care facilities and hospitals. These dogs need to be trained & ideally, start training from 8 weeks of age.
All good wishes, keep safe & go hug your dogs!
