Allow community forum to review Hot Dog Haven proposal
The Issue
Living in a remote, rural gated lake community with 5,500 residents comes with its challenges, especially when it comes to accessing basic amenities. In our small, interconnected society, every resource counts, and not having access to even a simple amenity like a restaurant can significantly affect our quality of life. We've seen several restaurant proposals come and go, failing to meet the needs of our community for various reasons.
Out of a desire to contribute positively and build a sustainable option, I developed the concept for Hot Dog Haven—a simplified, stationary hot dog stand that is not just about feeding the community but about creating an opportunity for social interaction and convenience. My business plan outlines a model that is low-cost, viable, and tailored to meet our community’s specific needs. Yet, our HOA has decided against reviewing this sustainably-beneficial proposal without input, review, or consent from community members.
This petition is not just about Hot Dog Haven; it’s about transparency, accountability, and democratic process within our Homeowners' Association. We deserve the opportunity to have our voices heard, and I'm advocating for an open forum discussion meeting with the HOA Board of Directors. Such a meeting would allow all association members to understand, review, and provide feedback on the proposal in an honest and open space, facilitating an informed decision by the association.
Our community deserves better than being sidelined from decisions that impact our daily lives. By signing this petition, you help stand for the future of our community—where every resident has a voice, and every proposal is given a fair chance. I invite you to support the call for openness and transparency to evaluate what's best for us all. Please sign to demand a community forum discussion meeting on the Hot Dog Haven proposal. Together, let's ensure our community's needs are met with integrity and collaboration.
