Allow Chris Travers To Return In Futurama If There’s A 10th Season
The issue
Chris Travers is a one time character from Futurama from an episode of Season 7 where he competed against Richard Nixon’s Head for Earth President, but he is from the year 3028 having gone back in time to prevent a Robot Uprising that Nixon’s Head ends up starting up from winning the 3012 Global Election. Although Travis was able to be successful with winning the election after getting his Earth Certificate following his past self’s birth the same year, this resulted in him being booted back to his own time to the point of Nixon’s Head keeping his part. Either way such a thing being done is something that right now is looking to become a reality based on something that happened in a recent Presidential Election, but it wouldn’t be having the person from the future running for president, it would be doing something to stop the candidate who did win from winning, or finding a way to stop one of the candidates from partaking in the election.
With Futurama now airing as a streaming service original after it’s eventual revival, it got renewed for a 9th season, but a time will come once again where it returns to it’s state of cancellation, probably forever this time based on the ages of the cast and even Matt Groening. Sure would be nice however if the Hulu run goes to a point where the series is in for a 200th episode, so much so that we’d be able to see what the year 3028 looks like without the Robot Uprising having taken place come 2028. One of the episodes which premieres that year should even have us see the return of Travers, along with how things are for him with whatever he gets up to and seeing if he still has memory of being sent back in time to meet the Planet Express crew who probably won’t know of him.
