Allow and fund immediate rescue of parking garage cats at Fashion Show Mall

In recent months, numerous cats have been discovered living in and around the Fashion Show Mall Parking Garage and surrounding areas in Las Vegas. Although the precise number of these cats remains uncertain, various sightings have been reported of them seeking refuge under cars in the parking levels. While it is noted that employees of the mall have taken it upon themselves to feed these stray cats, there has been no effort from management or the property owner to safely relocate them to a more suitable environment.

The Las Vegas Strip, where the Fashion Show Mall is located, poses many significant threats to small animals. From heavy pedestrian traffic to vehicular hazards, the Strip is far from a safe haven. Inaction in this situation is not just neglectful but potentially endangers these animals’ lives, especially as the warmer months approach.

This petition is aimed at urging the management of Fashion Show Mall to collaborate with local animal rescue organizations to secure a safe relocation for these cats. It's crucial for the mall to not only permit access to rescue groups but also to provide the necessary funding for the rescue, medical assessment, and relocation efforts.

Local organizations like The Animal Foundation and Nevada SPCA have the expertise and resources necessary to address the situation effectively, provided they receive adequate support. Funding and cooperation are key to ensuring these cats are moved to a sanctuary or foster homes where they will be cared for and safe from the inherent dangers of their current environment.

Furthermore, other anction could include  implementing a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program to help stabilize and eventually reduce the stray cat population. The TNR approach offers a sustainable and humane strategy to handle the issue while caring for the current group of cats in need.

By addressing this issue proactively, the Fashion Show Mall has an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to animal welfare and the local community. Immediate action is needed to fund and coordinate these rescue efforts effectively, which will undoubtedly receive support and appreciation from mall patrons, locals, and employees alike.

Please join us in calling on the Fashion Show Mall management and Brookfield Properties to take moral responsibility for these animals and ensure their secure and swift rescue. Sign this petition to help save these lives and propel a change that is so urgently needed.
