Public land designated for nonprofit community owned and maintained cemeteries will greatly reduce these costs, providing families with a humane option.  Additionally, it offers an opportunity to embrace environmentally friendly burial methods that align more closely with community values in the 21st century.

The Federal and State lands are vast, yet underutilized. If even a fraction were allocated for cemetery use, the impact would be profound. This proposal not only addresses the urgent need for affordable burials but also honors the deceased with the dignity they deserve.
