Stop the truck depot/warehouse in Merivale business park

Stop the truck depot/warehouse in Merivale business park
The Issue
ATTENTION: Proposed building plan means a massive transport truck depot/warehouse in our residential neighborhoods.
Site Location: 2 and 20 Leikin Drive and 99 Bill Leatham Drive
Applicant’s Proposal:
The City of Ottawa has received a site plan proposal to permit warehouse and truck transport terminal to be built in our residential neighborhood. The new plan calls for an office that spans almost 17,000 square feet, along with a 262,000-square-foot warehouse. The land would also include almost 500 parking spots for vehicles and 313 for tractor trailers, in addition to the 100 loading bays. This would bring as many as 2,800 transport truck trips per week through our neighborhoods. This is in addition to transport truck traffic that already accesses our neighborhoods.
"If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Ottawa before approval is given, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the City of Ottawa to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal."
