Ihr Lieben,

wir haben echt alles gegegeben. Wir haben einen neuen Antrag an die UEFA gestellt, mit dem wir die Allianz-Arena heute noch zum Leuchten bringen wollten. Dieser Antrag kam nicht von der Politik, sondern von SportPride, der Initiative die LGBTIAQ+-Menschen im Sport unterstützt und Akteur*innen, Fans und Aktive, Vereine und Verbände vereint und wurde allgemein formuliert. Die UEFA hätte dem Antrag stattgeben müssen, hat ihn aber stattdessen ignoriert.

Wir haben uns - per E-mail und telefonisch - an den DFB und die UEFA gewandt, in der Hoffnung, die Unterschriften heute noch vor dem Spiel zu übergeben, und vielleicht im Gespräch doch noch was zu bewirken. Vergeblich. Wir wurden abgewimmelt und uns wurde gesagt, wir könnten die Unterschriften elektronisch übermitteln. Wir finden, die Nichtannahme ist auch eine Botschaft. Der DFB und die UEFA haben eure Stimmen - mittlerweile über 300.000! - eure Forderung nicht ernst genommen. Aber noch schlimmer: Die UEFA hat heute ein Statement zum Regenbogen veröffentlicht, was ihre Entscheidungen und Kommunikation grundsätzlich ad absurdum führt. Sie sagen ua “Die UEFA ist stolz, die Farben des Regenbogens zu tragen”, sie sagen die erste “Anfrage war politisch”, die Regenfarben selbst aber “kein politisches Symbol”. 

Was passiert heute Abend noch alles? Einige von uns sind heute mit vor Ort in München und helfen Flaggen verteilen. Von dort wird auch ein Team von Change.org Stimmen vor dem Stadion aufnehmen und auf Twitter veröffentlichen. Auch wird es ab 19.00 Uhr Uhr einen Livestream mit den Drag-Queens Veuve Noire und Olivia Jones geben, bei dem auch der Change.org-Campaigner Ansgar Lahmann gegen 20.00 Uhr zu Gast sein wird. Schaltet also gerne ein. Und dann passiert noch vieles mehr. Wo leuchtet heute alles noch der Regenbogen?! Und um 21.00 Uhr dann das Spiel, Deutschland-Ungarn.

My dears, 

We really gave it our all. We made a new request to UEFA to light up the Allianz Arena today. This request did not come from politics, but from SportPride, the initiative that supports LGBTIAQ+ people in sport and unites players, fans and activists, clubs and associations, and was formulated in general terms. UEFA should have granted the request, but instead ignored it. 

We contacted the DFB and UEFA by e-mail and telephone in the hope that we would be able to hand over the signatures before the match today and perhaps achieve something in the dialog. Unsuccessfully. We were turned away and told that we could submit the signatures electronically. We think the rejection also sends a message. The DFB and UEFA have not taken your voices - now over 300,000! - did not take your demand seriously. But even worse: UEFA published a statement on the rainbow today, which basically makes their decisions and communication absurd. They say among other things "UEFA is proud to wear the colours of the rainbow", they say the first "request was political", but the rain colours themselves "are not a political symbol".  

What else is happening tonight? Some of us will be on site in Munich today and help distribute flags. From there, a team from Change.org will also record voices outside the stadium and publish them on Twitter. There will also be a livestream with drag queens Veuve Noire and Olivia Jones starting at 7pm, with Change.org campaigner Ansgar Lahmann as a guest around 8pm. So feel free to tune in. And then there's a lot more happening. Where else is the rainbow shining today?! And then at 9 p.m. the match, Germany-Hungary.
