Allerdale council declared they were going to make a new stadium without a speedway track. This however didn't happen so now they have covered the track on the existing stadium. 

Workington is known to be one if the best tracks in the country for speedway due to the accommodation as well as the track itself. Its a shame to see our comets team dissapear after such a huge win in 2018 and to have to dissapoint so many fans just because of another sport.

Im a teenage girl and ive grown up with speedway. Not football or rugby i really couldnt care less about them, its speedway that i love and workington is the closest track as its local. Its a shame to then take speedway away from all the young children who love the sport and see the riders like Kyle bickley and Rasmus Jensen (i know both are now with Glasgow Tigers) as their idols and look up to them. It also takes away a practice track by loosing derwents speedway track as well as many children loosing the opportunity to become a speedway rider as Manchesters track might be too far for them.

Please help the speedway fans and give this a sign so Allerdale Council will atleast consider bringing back Workingtons speedway track as a step closer to having our comets back! :D
