PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please don’t endanger the public health and safety of your community,  and others,  by allowing this “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horse show to be held at Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN during this record Covid-19 outbreak.

The neighboring City of Columbia, Maury County, TN faced a similar situation on March 16, 2020 ,  at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The City of Columbia cancelled the annual “Mule Day” event set for April 2-5, 2020, which brings approximately 100,000 visitors to the area.  The wisdom and good judgment by the leadership in Columbia, Maury County, TN has resulted in only 20% of Covid-19 cases there compared to the record number reported in Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN.

The wisdom and judgment of the public officials and leaders of Shelbyville, Bedford County is now being weighed in the balance.

Please SIGN and SHARE this Petition and urge the Shelbyville and Bedford County officials and community leaders to protect the public health by using their influence to see that this “Big Lick” horse show is not held during the current Covid-19 outbreak in Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN.

Your Signatures and Comments will be delivered to community leaders and the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce;  Mayor of Shelbyville, TN; and Mayor of Bedford County, TN.
