Johnny Sells started this petition to Allegiant Air and

Allegiant Air needs to change its policies and ensure that LGBTQ+ Flight Attendants and Pilots are treated with the same respect and equality that everyone deserves. Its beyond time for homophobic management to stop intimidating, bullying, harassing, and wrongfully terminating LGBTQ+ employees. My husband and I began what we knew would be a long, uphill battle with Allegiant Air management and executives in 2018 and are still fighting this battle, not only for ourselves, but for all LGBTQ+ people. We were both long term flight attendants (in good standing and no disciplinary record) at Allegiant Air and were specifically targeted by homophobic management, my husband was (wrongfully) terminated and I have not returned to work since February 2018. We were and still are being bullied, harassed, intimidated, and (wrongfully) disciplined after homophobic management perceived that we were HIV positive and because we reported sexual harassment to the company. We were also (wrongfully) disciplined after we reported ( what we believe to be) serious safety concerns and refused to 'turn a blind eye' at the companies request and endanger the countless lives of the passengers, families, and children we cared for each and every day aboard our flights. Due to the wrongful actions of Allegiant Air and its management executives, we have been and are continuing to endure severe emotional, mental, and physical health issues, as well as extreme financial hardships, have lost housing three times, and every thing that goes along with it, however we truly believe this battle needs to be fought and change must be made. We want to ensure that no other person ever has to face the challenges that we have been forced to confront, due to homophobia and bullying in the workplace. We have carried our battle all the way to the Federal Court system and will continue fighting until all LGBTQ+ persons are treated with the same respect and equality that every other employee is. We know that we are not the only LGBTQ+ employees at this airline (and other employers) to be bullied, intimidated, threatened, and  treated unfavorably, unequally, and less than human. Our intention is to push for change in hopes the company executives will amend and enforce policies to ensure that all employees have a voice and are heard equally, irregardless of their sexual orientation or HIV status, and are allowed to report safety concerns without fear of retaliation. As we sit here and share our journey with you, both heartbroken and tears streaming down each of our faces, we sincerely ask you for your support. This world changes when someone decides to take a stand and say enough is enough.  We are badly 'bent', but not broken, battered from the 'storm', but we still have fight left in us and we aren't backing down. We both want to make it known that we were fortunate to have made countless wonderful friends, and meet so many wonderful passengers aboard the flights we worked, and will always treasure the wonderful memories made during our time as Allegiant Air flight attendants. We love each and every one of you, express our sincere gratitude and thanks for taking the time to read this, and hope you are never affected by the workplace bullying and discrimination we have endured. Please consider standing with us to help facilitate change, bring attention to this cause, and make the future better and brighter for those that come after us. UPDATE: We have recently been served a ‘cease and desist’ letter from Allegiant Air management and counsel demanding that this petition be removed within 10 days and also have received word that we will likely be sued for defamation of Allegiant Air’s character  if this petition is not removed immediately. We WILL NOT be bullied nor intimidated further by this company. As of recent, Allegiant was successful in a court motion to have Johnny's case in federal court dismissed on a technicality, however we will be filing a seperate case for Johnny within the near future. Please share and consider signing, if you haven’t already. Thank you all for standing with us!
