Thank you all for your ongoing support - we just passed 40,000 signatures. I can’t believe so many people are with me. It means the world and is helping me through this tough time.
Right now, can you help me send a message to Qantas? Please read on how you can let them know we want justice for Duke, and other pets.
This morning, I was interviewed by the Today show. I’ve never done live TV before, but I wanted to share Duke’s story with Australia. Lots of news sites have also shared the story. And you might have seen that I’m not alone in this tragedy. I’ve lost count of the messages from people who have terrible pet experiences with Qantas - including deaths.
Qantas must be paying attention now - which is why we need to use our voices today. Can you please do at least one of these three things right now?
1. Contact Qantas directly
Using their online feedback form, you can respectfully send them a message. You can use this template:
Hi Qantas, I am one of 40,000+ people who signed Kay’s petition, after your baggage handlers left her dog Duke on the tarmac leading to his death. I’m calling on you to do more than apologise. I want to hear about the changes you’re making to your animal care standards and procedures, to prevent any more avoidable deaths. Our pets are precious cargo!
2. Tweet to Qantas
Click here to tweet this to the airline, and let them know you demand change!
Hey @Qantas, our pets are precious cargo! When will you change your animal care standards and procedures to prevent any more avoidable deaths? #JusticeForDuke Change.org/JusticeForDuke
3. Post or message Qantas via Facebook
Click here to visit Qantas’ Facebook page to respectfully send them a message or post a comment (you may need to “like” them first. You could post this:
Hi Qantas, our pets are precious cargo! When will you change your animal care standards and procedures to prevent any more avoidable deaths? Change.org/JusticeForDuke
We need to make sure Qantas knows that they need to change their current animal care standards and procedures to prevent any more avoidable deaths.
Please, this is our chance to make noise while we know Qantas are listening. Thank you again for your support.
