The support this petition has received so far is truly heartwarming. As I write this update over 67,000 of you have cared enough to sign the petition. So again, I want to thank each and every one of you. Together, we are sending a clear message to Qantas - STOP ANIMAL NEGLECT!

To date, the response I have received from Qantas has been abysmal. To add injury to insult, today I have learned that the apology letter they sent me, is practically identical to the one received by Anthony Balletta, the owner of the Bulldog puppy that died on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Melbourne, under the same circumstances that killed Duke, two days later.

I am so upset! These 'apology' letters are nothing more than company templates containing identical jargon that they send out when these incidents occur. How many times have they had to send these letters out to poor owners whose pets have died on their flights?

Every day without Duke is a struggle. I miss him so much. I find comfort in knowing he had such a great life and was loved by many but what I can't come to terms with, and never will, is knowing how much he must have suffered in the end. That will haunt me for as long as I live.

Duke deserved better and so do all the other pets travelling with Qantas. Please help me keep up the fight by sharing this petition and putting as much pressure as we can on Qantas.

Thank you again
