Restructuring of Western Railway Time Table - Dahanu/Palghar/Saphale Commuters

Restructuring of Western Railway Time Table - Dahanu/Palghar/Saphale Commuters
The Issue
Kind Attention:
Mr.Shailendra Kumar,
DRM Western Railway
Mumbai Central
Dear Sir,
I would like to address few concerns with respect to the recent change in railway time table of western railway and the further issues that travelers are facing due to your unexpected move to change the schedule of railway time table. I am a resident of Palghar and have been traveling with western railway since last 10 years on the route of Palghar to Mumbai Central, as the road connectivity is not that great here so we are completely dependent on railways to meet our needs of bread. I am sure you know the pain of common travelers like us; in fact this is the reason why we have seen a change of government and appointment of Honorable Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu. But this has given us disappointments as there has not been a single welcome change done by your department especially on the start of new trains, extension of existing route (Dahanu-Virar to be scaled to Dahanu-Churchgate). I wish to make few suggestions and grievances in order to make the existing situation look better, I would also like you to go through them and let me know of the challenges faced in order to implement any of the following point.
1) Removal of Halt “Virar” from Lokshakti Express “22927” : I am sure you would have received numerous complaints of fellow travelers about “Suburban” people from Virar occupy most of the seats in reservation compartments and they create nuisance for the other passengers. Further your decision of describing of 22927 as Super Fast train is not justified by allowing a halt at Virar Station. Please look in to this very seriously and do the correction on war foot basis
2) Removal of Halt “Virar” from Valsad Fast Passenger “59023/59024” : Virar as a suburban station has almost 85+ trains towards Churchgate Station and the time has come to review this policy decision of removing halt at Virar station. This will not only accommodate the surge load of passengers beyond Virar station but also will improve running time. I will also request you to change the timings as Flying Ranee Superfast express also runs just 10 minutes before this train so it will be ideal if you can change the timings from Mumbai Central @ exiting 18:10 to 18:35 which will be beneficial to the travelers traveling in Lokshakti Express will get shifted to this train
3) Addition of halt to “12961 or 12955” at Palghar Station: This is required now to be done because “19005” Saurashtra Mail is now rescheduled to the later timings which has created the burden on the existing slab
4) Further all the local trains from Dahanu to Virar to be made as “Dahanu to Churchgate” at the convenient timings
I am looking at your kind disposal for the actions to be done on above suggestions.
