We’re Back! And we are calling for would-be donors to #PledgeAPint

Almost two years ago, we secured a reduction in the deferral period from 12 months to three for people who had previously been unable to donate blood. While this presents a world-leading policy, we think it is time to change.

We are asking anyone who otherwise would be able to give blood but can’t because of the current restrictions to pledge online that they would donate blood if they could.

We want to see a truly individualised risk-based policy introduced, so that everyone who wants to donate blood is assessed individually, rather than as a blanket group.
