This petition is going from strength to strength, we are only 60 signatures short of our initial target of 1,000, and the numbers are growing rapidly.
Last week Ruth raised the issue of the citizens assembly in the Dail, and specifically asked the government if they would commit to a referendum this year, and if they would support the propsals of the Citizens Assembly. The response? Well let's just say it left a lot to be desired.
We need to keep up the pressure, and let the government know we will not accept any more delays, or watering down of the Citizens Assembly proposals. If they do not call a referendum by the 5th anniversary of Savita's tragic death then that day must become a major day of national protest the likes of which Ireland hasn't seen in years.
Please keep sharing the petition and spreading the word.
