Let Marijuana Be- Kenya

Let Marijuana Be- Kenya
The Issue
Herb is nature. The current war on an innocent herb and its users is illegal before the eyes of God and Nature. How a plot by a couple of greedy, racially-biased individuals in a foreign continent(USA 1930s) could still bringing havoc in an African society a century later is sad.
Many families have been broken when people get jailed for weed. Imagine a smoker jailed in the same prison with all sorts of criminals. He never killed anyone. He never stole from anyone. A foolish misconception composed in the "Madness Reefer", a book composed in the USA in the 1930s by ill-minded, racial bureaucrats. Millions have been jailed for this, 90% people of colour.
A scientifically approved medicinal herb is not saving saving millions of lives as it is supposed to just because of a stupid composition like "Madness Reefer" continents away.
Marijuana could benefit this countru greatly. First, it would call for a national self-searching; What other laws did we blindly adopt from the enemy?; What of the system itself?; Is it where we first made the wrong turn?
Economically, the impact would be tromendous. It could reap huge tax, create employment while conserving the environment at the same time.
Research in places where marijuana has been decriminalized, cases of insecurity have drastically dropped. This is because of the employment cannabis creates. Again, those caught dealing with marijuana are not locked up in jails to be schooled how to be real criminals.
It's high time smokers in Kenya regain their right to grow and use marijuana. A taskforce to oversee a way to educate-regulate-legalize should do the job.
By signing this petition, you will not only be supporting Kenyans on this noble course, but also many in the world who would wish for the freedom every marijuana-enthusiast dreams of.
