In the wake of this bullying I would like to share my sons story. My son was body slammed onto the floor of the school bus on the way home from school last month. He was body slammed by a 3rd grader, my son is in first grade. He hit his head off the metal bracket on the bottom of the bus seat. My son required 3 internal and 6 external stitches in his eyebrow which will now be a scar for the rest of his life. Upon watching video apparently another kid thought it would be great to jump up and down on my sons back while he bled profusely on the floor. I'm truley grateful for the bus driver getting my son back to the school to get medical attention and for the music teacher who provided gauze as soon as the bus pulled back up and for the nurse and my sons teacher for sitting there with him until my husband got to the school. That's where my appreciation stops.

The school never punished the kids other than kicking them off the bus for what I believe was a week maybe 2 max, which my son no longer rides because I dont feel safe with him on there so my hubs and I take him and pick him up everyday. The kids never saw any real punishment for this and its appalling.

Teach your kids to be better human beings, the excuse I get most often from the school is that the bullys dont have great home lives. THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR BAD BEHAVIOR.

Raise your children to have respect for everyone regardless of your own faults/problems maybe then stuff like this wouldnt happen
