Sri Lanka does not have a proper Elder Care system

Also Many Elders do not have a proper old age pension system,  People who worked in the Government Sector gets suitable package but many others worked in the private sector and informal sector struggle during their old age becoming a burden on their children, often neglected by them.

The Existing system pays Rs. 2000.00 a Month, which is never sufficient, also only to selected persons depending on income, probably also with political and official bias. 

We demand future Government in Sri Lanka attend to this serious issue as all citizens pay taxes and have to be treated equally. Therefore our request is to :

1. Provide a Pension of at least Rs. 10000.00 for all those who are over 65 Years and not included in Government pension Scheme.

2. Provide Elder Care facilities for deserving Elders, possibly using the entitled pension Funds instead of Cash payments for those who prefer it..
