"I am a voice for the dog abused in car licence number CAZM 391 on Sunday June 21st at 24 Thorpe Street. I want an investigation. The police wont help and paws wont help. police incident # 20650317. Police need to run licence and get information to paws for an immediate investigation of animal cruelty. The new policy changes have left a hole where no one is taking responsibility to help this animal. Please write me back and let me know when Paws has started an investigation of this act of animal cruelty in Ontario."

If you are not in Ontario, can you write to Sandy Shaw, the mpp from Dundas area?
Because of Ontario's new policy changes, SPCA can no longer investigate animal cruelty. However, Paws is supposed to but won't unless they have a criminals home address, their car is not enough. Police won't get address from licence plate. We need to demand that someone investigate the emaciated and weakened dog left neglected in back yard of 24 Thorpe St Dundas, and then left unattended in a hot car in the hot sun during a serious heatwave. The dog was in serious and emergency need of medical care. Demand that this dog get the medical care it needs. I will bring this petition to sandy shaw.
On Sunday at 317pm I had to call the police because a dog, beautiful white lab mix, large, was tied tightly with a small metal chain, 3 inches to the back headrest behind the drivers side of dark blue car. The car had already been sitting in the sun for at least an hour prior while the dog was tied tightly to a pole in the backyard of 24 Thorpe St and the dog had no water for the 40 mintutes that I observed prior to the dog being tied and left in an unattended car ( about 20 minutes in car) ( CAR: Dark Blue, licence CAZM 391) in the hot sun (Sunday was the day we had the heat warning, felt like 54) along Thorpe Street in Dundas. I rang the doorbell. A middle aged white man and middle aged, heavy set woman with long brown hair -they tried to argue and I said there is no time. They said they had just put the dog in the car and would leave when I did essentially so I didn't hesitate to move and said ok, I will give you 5 minutes. ( Enough time to run in my apartment and get my phone. ) I saw the dog in more detail as I passed, he had thick white foam drool coming from his mouth, and was whimpering. I touched him, touched the drool (and have open cuts on my hand due to eczema.) I said quite surprised, "The dog is drooling, and needs medical attention!" The owner said, "Yeah, that dog has rabies." And he laughed.
No one will help. Ontario changed the law, so SPCA can't help. Paws needs the police to get them an address, but the police say that is not their job. Incident # 20650317.
The laws have changed at the beginning of the year and right now no one is enforcing any help for animals. Paws says call the police, but the police say, we do not enforce animal rights, we only respond to life or death human situations.
