Ever since the new government Pakatan Harapan took over office. So did this Anthony Loke Siew Fook became the new Minister of Transportation. His very first order was to ban driving license from being bought in under table manners, also known as 'BAO' in Mandarin. While his intention was good, he did not realised a lot of driving school teachers purposely did not allow students to pass their driving exam unless they chose to bribe them. His second order was to consider in raising up the age limit of Malaysians to possess a driving license. As he thought a lot of traffic accidents was caused by young people. This is an act of 'age discrimination'. Later on he had also demanded to increase the amount of AES cameras on the highway to monitor driver from speeding, and also lowering down the speed limit of vehicles from 90km/h to 80km/h. He even suggested that Malaysians should sell or scrap their cars like Singapore does after 10 years of use. Which is ridiculous considering how expensive cars are in our country thanks to the import tax from the government, and let alone we aren't small as Singapore to have a need to control the amount of cars driving in our country.  Recently he even crossed the line and wanted e-hailing to be restricted and wanted taxi drivers to pay for their car to be inspected ever single, and buy insurance for passengers. It was to be fair to both grabcar and taxi drivers he says. While It looks as if he is taking care of the responsibilities of the drivers and safety of us Malaysians. Little did he know that this will 101% increase the fare price which has been already expensive as the taxi drivers has a tendency to charge passengers at high prices. Loke did not fulfil his own duty as a minister to fix the holes of the roads and highways, the slow traffic light, and lack of road lamps; street lights that has been bothering every single Malaysian drivers. But yet created all these nonsense to increase the burdens on our shoulders. We would like to urge our current Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir to respect our decision and select a new & more suitable candidate to replace him. We need ministers that cares about Malaysian's benefits.
