Everybody deserves the chance to enjoy Thanksgiving with their loved ones. The recent phenomenon of retail stores opening Thanksgiving DAY rather than midnight or later on Black Friday is nonsensical and materialistic. There is no excuse to make this right (see: "Workers get time and a half though!", "The employees chose to work for a retail store and should have known this would happen!" "This job is putting the turkey on the table in the first place!" and more). Why do you think your employees came in in the past at strange hours of the morning on Black Friday, anyway? I'm sure it doesn't hurt that they spent all day surrounded by friends and family the day before. With this, we ask you to RECONSIDER and remember that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your business.
Whether you work in retail, used to work in retail, or know somebody who works in retail, you can sign to save somebody's holiday.
