Whereas, youth and children who are exposed to the smoking habits of others in their environment are more likely to start smoking themselves;
Whereas, children are particularly vulnerable to environmental tobacco smoke:
Whereas, exposure to second-hand smoke can lead to serious health issues;
We, the undersigned citizens of Canada call upon all governments to support regulations and legislation that would enforce smoke-free zones that prohibit smoking in family-orientated spaces/events including but not limited to fairs, and sporting events.
