Shopko closing in Mayville would be a deficit to our community.  Not only would it cut jobs for about 30 employees who provide for their families, this store has been a staple since it opened its doors a few years ago after Alco closed up.  This store brings in people from our surrounding communities and promotes business for our small businesses.  Driving to Grand Forks or Fargo isn’t an option for some of our elderly community members.  Shopko offers more quality items and a bigger variety of items than some of our other stores can offer.  So many surrounding smaller communities rely on this store for many of their needs. Please, please, please save our Shopko!
