Together, we've battled long and hard against this ridiculous plan to concrete over farmland at Lidsing with 2000+ houses.

Maidstone Borough Council couldn't really have chosen a less-suitable location if they'd tried! Agricultural land which should continue to be farmed in these troubled times.

No infrastructure. No public transport. No secondary education provision. No GP services. 15+ YEARS of construction traffic.

A potential extra 4000 cars on the rural country lanes - 10,000 extra car journeys EVERY DAY. 8000+ new residents reliant on Medway's already overstretched Medway Hospital and services. Destruction of the AONB at Bredhurst. Local communities overwhelmed.

There will be NO green space left between Lordswood, Hempstead, Lidsing and Bredhurst.

The only benefit this development will have is to MBC'S housing targets.

As we head towards the Examination in Public in the autumn, our best chance (and last) to SAVE Lidsing is to hire experts to fight this with legal arguments.
