An 11 year old, Usman Durrani, died in the swimming pool of Habib Public School on August 27, 2019 and the school was unaware of his death. The swimming class was between 11:30am-1:00pm and the school finishes at 3:30pm. School started looking for Usman after his van driver asked of his whereabouts. He was found floating in the pool dor at least two and a half hours. 

The school principal was nominated in the police complaint yet neither did she resign nor was she suspended during police investigation. As a result, she was able to suppress the central piece of evidence--CCTV footage. The law under which she's being tried carries a financial penalty and no jail sentence. Hence why they had only two instructors with no life guards--violating their own SOPs.

Therefore, it is crucial that we force the government to introduce a law that will jail those who commit criminal negligence for at least 7 years. Also, in cases like this, where a poor child was killed due to negligence of a powerful school, there must always be a high level investigation preferably a judicial inquiry so the powerful elite can't buy investigations in their favour. Let's get this law introduced and protect our children.
