One of our most valuable teachers, Shannon Reid, who is a contract professor at Algonquin College, has been terminated without merit and without any formal warnings or discussions prior. We believe that this decision will negatively affect our education as Shannon plays an integral role in the Veterinary Technician Program.

As a class, we are looking for clarification from Claude Brulé as to why this decision was made, for our voices to be heard and for the decision to be reconsidered.

Shannon Reid has no prior complaints filed against her, and has a history of providing outstanding education for the past 7 years at Algonquin College. The scores of Algonquin College graduates on the VTNE have consistently improved in the courses that she has taught, proving that has a huge positive impact on her students.
