Hello students, teachers, and parents (and/or guardians) of West Potomac High School. I am starting a petition to Stop the Vest. Students and Teachers, you know what I'm talking about. Parents, if your children/child hasn't explained what this is yet I will for you. The Vests are our new bathroom passes. We have to wear them while in the hallway to go to the bathroom. This Vest is deemed more sanitary than plastic hall pass boards we were given in past years at West Potomac. However, I and many others have decided the Vest is the most unsanitary (and extremely undignified) form of a hall pass a school has ever seen. The Vest is worn by hundreds of students each day and is starting to become a bacteria's playground. Including contact with bodily fluids (sweat, mucus, possibly pee, etc.), bacteria from unwashed/unsanitized hands, dirt, lice, etc. Not to mention these Vests will not be washed as the only washing machine known to me, belongs to the Theatre Department. Please sign this petition to create a healthier, more sanitary alternative. Thank you! We can Stop the Vest!
