Flight Attendants and U.S. Citizens against animal cruelty at "dead dog beach" Puerto Rico. Attn: Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla.

The Issue

Dogs in Puerto Rico are being abandoned in an area called "dead dog beach". They are left there to starve and die. These animals are not neutered or spayed and therefore more dogs are being born to die. Most of these dogs are sick and near death. To make matters worse, they are being used for target practice by people with guns and are also being run over by cars for fun. Puppies are placed in plastic bags alive and left there to die and be run over. Can you imagine this happening on a beach in Fort Lauderdale? Or anywhere else in the U.S. for everyone to see. Why is this being ignored and allowed in Puerto Rico? And what's ironic is, the government of Puerto Rico is adding to the abuse. Workers whose job it is to euthanize abandoned dogs, are telling stories of dogs being improperly euthanized and thrown into mass graves alive and whimpering while being covered in dirt. The atrocities are too many to mention here. Please go to www.islanddog.org too see what is being ignored. Or just type in dead dog beach Puerto Rico.
