Dear Supporter,

Thank you for your support phoning, emailing and messaging Aldi to get them to finally require their pork suppliers to stop using gestation crates.

Aldi claims it is "committed to the well-being of the animals in its supply chain" and that an "animal is in a good state of welfare if it is able to ... express innate behaviors ... and is free from distress". Yet, Aldi continues to allow a practice that immobilizes animals in a space so small they're unable to turn around or stretch their limbs for months at a time ... and there is no evidence of progress.

Want to know how sincere Aldi is about eliminating crates? Ask them!

• Call Aldi's customer service line at (800) 325-7894 (option #4), Mon–Fri 9am–5pm EST
• Ask them if there has been any progress in their efforts to get rid of gestation crates over the past two years
